Diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer that had metastasized to her brain, Diana was told by her doctor that she had no more than six months to live, no matter what she did. Diagnosed with prostate cancer in the fall of 2019, Dave and his wife turned to a longtime friend — an herbalist and naturopath back in Kentucky — for guidance. Erika had struggled with fatigue and digestive issues for over a decade before finally being diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma in January 2022 — by then, the tumor had grown to the size of a softball. She started conventional ACT chemo, though a part of her had already wanted a different path. When back pain returned in the summer of 2025 and she suspected the cancer was back, she knew immediately: she wasn’t doing chemo again.
