Our team of chefs prepare extraordinary cancer-fighting meals for breakfast and lunch every day. The recipes were created to complement the therapies our patients are receiving. The meals promote a healthy immune system as well as provide energy for cells heal and regain balance.
Our resident chef, Nelda, has graciously shared some of her recipes with us to share with all of you!
Today we have a breakfast shake that Nelda likes to call:
Citrusy Sunrise Shake
“Start your day by designing the perfect breakfast. Give thought to ingredients that fuel with purpose. This shake is high in absorbable protein and fiber; full of immunity builders and great for hydration.”
2 Scoops Organic Vegan Protein Powder
3/4 Cup Filtered Water
2 Teaspoons Vanilla
1 Small Lime Peeled
1/2 Grapefruit Peeled (Red Ruby)
1/2 Cup Cucumber Chopped
1 Inch Fresh Ginger
2 Tablespoons Flax Seeds Ground
1/2 + Crushed Ice
Topping: Nutmeg or Cinnamon
- Start with filtered water and add the vanilla.
- While using a handheld blender, add the protein powder and blend for 30 seconds.
- Add remaining ingredients in the order listed.
- Top with Spices.
