Acerca del linfoma no Hodgkin
El linfoma no Hodgkin es un tipo de cáncer que afecta a los linfocitos, tipos de glóbulos blancos del sistema linfático. La diferencia principal entre los tipos de linfoma Hodgkin y no Hodgkin son los tipos de células involucradas. Las células del linfoma de Hodgkin involucran específicamente un tipo de célula anormal conocida como la célula de Reed-Sternberg.
El linfoma no Hodgkin tiende a ser más común que el linfoma de Hodgkin y es uno de los tipos de cáncer más comunes en general, que comprende alrededor del 4 por ciento de todos los casos de cáncer. Puede ocurrir a cualquier edad, afectando tanto a niños y adolescentes como a mayores de 65 años.
El linfoma no Hodgkin presenta varios subtipos, incluyendo el linfoma folicular y el linfoma difuso de células B grandes.
Causas y factores de riesgo
El cáncer es causado por una mutación genética que resulta en el crecimiento descontrolado de ciertas células (en este caso, los linfocitos). A medida que las células crecen sin control, pueden acumularse y formarse en masas conocidas como tumores. Con el tiempo, las células cancerosas pueden extenderse a otras partes del cuerpo. Detección temprana, diagnóstico y estadificación
Los signos y síntomas comunes del linfoma no Hodgkin incluyen:
- Dolor o hinchazón en el abdomen
- Ganglios linfáticos inflamados en las axilas, la ingle o el cuello.
- Fiebre
- Dolor en el pecho, tos o problemas respiratorios (síntomas similares a los de la gripe)
- Sudores nocturnos
- Fatiga
- Pérdida de peso repentina e involuntaria
El diagnóstico comienza con un examen físico durante el cual el médico puede evaluar la hinchazón de los ganglios linfáticos, el hígado o el bazo. Los análisis de orina y de sangre pueden ayudar al doctor a eliminar otras afecciones con síntomas similares, mientras que las imágenes a través de una radiografía de tórax, una tomografía computarizada, etc. permite al médico identificar tumores. El doctor también puede realizar una biopsia de los nódulos linfáticos.
Los procesos de estadificación permiten a los médicos determinar la gravedad y la posible propagación de las células cancerosas. Los estadios del linfoma no Hodgkin se designan con los números romanos del I a IV. Los estadios inferiores significan que el cáncer está confinado, mientras que los estadios superiores muestran que la enfermedad se ha extendido a otras partes del cuerpo. Dr. Bautista received formal medical training from Baja California State University in Mexico. He also holds a Masters in Nutrition from the same university. He has worked as a Director for alternative medicine hospitals. Early in his career, Dr. Bautista became interested in alternative cancer therapy and treatments and has studied alternative treatments extensively around the world.

Costs and Travel Arrangements
A typical three-week treatment program costs $18,995USD, and includes all therapies, diagnostics, and a healthy, organic, breakfast and lunch (+2 juices/smoothies) Monday – Saturday. Room and other board, travel costs, surgeries, and blood transfusions are not included. Some very specific therapies may not be included. Depending on your stage and condition, you may need six weeks of treatment or more.

We accept major credit cards (some fees may apply), personal and cashier’s checks, wire transfers, and cash. You can also easily PAY ONLINE.
Airfare is not included in the program cost; however, transfers to and from the airport (Tijuana or San Diego) and transportation between our center and your hotel are included.
You may fly into Tijuana, Mexico or San Diego, California. Wewill make arrangements to meet and pick you up at either airport. We are only 25 minutes from the San Diego International Airport. You may also drive to the center. When you schedule your treatment, we will provide detailed driving directions.

If you are undergoing outpatient treatment, you will need to stay in a local hotel or other lodging option during your treatment. We are located near several quality hotels in Tijuana, and have arranged special rates for our patients.
